Entre as complicações transoperatórias, durante a artroplastia total de quadril (ATQ), a paralisia nervosa é uma das mais terríveis adversidades
enfrentadas após o procedimento. Os autores descrevem uma técnica para abertura e reparo capsular em artroplastia total de quadril durante a abordagem de acesso posterior que protege o nervo ciático.
