Abstract

Segmental reconstructions with non conventional endoprostesis after great bone resection is possible nowadays in the treatment of malignan bone tumors. The authors present a type of endoprostesis : total femoral non conventional endoprostesis, witch replaces all the femur after its secure resection. This endoprosthesis is performed in cases where only an amputation would be the best solution. The authors present the indication, contraindications, the surgical technique and its complications.
