The treatment for severe acetabular deficiencies should be considered one of the highest challenge on total hip arthroplasty. The anatomic defect resulted from wear and osteolisis on total hip arthroplasty and acetabular fractures turns difficult, when not obstruct the correct position of acetabular cup. The authors describe the use of acetabular ring on treatment for severe acetabular deficiencies on total hip arthroplasty.
