Abstract

u.e use of a self-locking intramedullary nailing system for treatment of long bone fractures is here pre sented. Tu.is is a device which expands after intramedullary bone insertion for fracture fixation without lock ing screws. Fracture healing, rotational and longitudinal stability were assessed: 97,5% of bone healing was achieved with no rotations and 2,5%.
