The tripie osteotomy , Steel procedure, has as objective the reorientation of the acetabulum to achieve a estable hip, using the articular surface to cover the femoral head. That is carried through by the osteotomy of the ischium, the superior branch of the pubis and the ilium with rotation of the acetabulum. It is used in adolescents or young adults, where the rotation of the symphysis pubis is limited or it is not possible by other osteotomies.
