Abstract

Osteogenesis imperfecta is a disease that affects bone integrity because it is related to problems in type I collagen synthesis, a fundamental structure in bone formation and other tissues. The need for correction of deformities in lower limbs is already well established with the aim of aligning the limb and preventing new fractures. On the other hand, the treatment of upper limb deformities was in a more secondary plane. Recently, in order to prevent new fractures and improve the functional ability of the upper limb, its correction has gained more importance. This article aims to report a minimally invasive surgical technique for the correction of deformities in the humerus.
