Método Ponseti no tratamento de pé torto congênito recidivado em criança de 9 anos

O método Ponseti foi descrito para o tratamento do pé torto congênito em bebês, mas suas indicações de aplicação em pés mais rígidos (artrogripose, mielomeningocele) e crianças mais velhas tem sido ampliada nas últimas duas décadas. Este caso clínico descreve o tratamento de uma menina de 9 anos com pé torto congênito recidivado com a aplicação de 6 gessos, tenotomia percutânea do Aquiles, e uso de órtese de abdução. O resultado obtido reforça a importância de considerar o Método Ponseti como tratamento inicial em crianças mais velhas.
