A fratura cominutiva da cabeça do rádio é uma patologia freqüente do cotovelo. Nas fraturas da cabeça do rádio tipo III pela classificação de Mason, em que a redução e a fixação não são possíveis, a excisão completa e a movimentação precoce são os tratamentos de escolha. Nos casos mais graves, em que temos associações com instabilidades, a substituição por prótese é usada.
